NATIONAL DEVELOPMENT REPORTS

The National Development Report (NDR) is an annual report on the performance of the economy and sectors, ministries and local governments.

The aim of producing the NDR is to provide information/update on the overall performance of the economy, with a focus on national development based on the NDP. The following are the specific objectives of the NDR:

  • Review progress made in implementing the NDP, including the implementation challenges faced, during the year
  • Review the macroeconomic performance of the economy for the year under review
  • Provide an assessment of the performance of thematic areas and local governments in line with the NDP
  • To provide the status of the development progress made during the FY

Thus, the report gives an account on Uganda’s current development status and the progress made against the NDP indicators at all levels of the Plan’s results framework.
