physical development plans

The Physical Planning Act 2010 identified 5 different types of plans as:

  1. National Physical Development Plan,
  2. Regional Physical Development Plans,
  3. District Physical Development Plans,
  4. Urban Physical Development Plans, and
  5. Local Physical Development Plans.

The national physical development plan is the largest physical development plan to which all other physical development plans must conform.

The national or regional physical development plans provide for planning, re-planning, or reconstructing of the whole or part of the area comprised in the plan, and for controlling the order, nature and direction of development in the area.
