Government Revenue

Revenue collections have been rising steadily since the Poverty Eradication Action Plan (PEAP) period marked by a growth of 91 percent during the PEAP period, an 85 percent growth during the NDPI period and an overall growth of 330 percent from 2005/6 to 2014/15.

This remarkable growth has been majorly due to the stringent tax policies that have been implemented over the years and the deliberate effort to expand the tax base as well as include the informal sector in the tax register.
