Kisamba-Mugerwa, Executive Chairperson, NPA presenting a paper at lecture for students, teaching staff and members of the community at Mulusa Academy, Luwero District on 26th August 2016
The youth have been challenged to actively participate in causing the desired socio-economic transformation in Uganda for the country to achieve its goal of attaining middle income status by 2020. Dr. Kisamba-Mugerwa, Executive Chairperson, NPA made this call while presenting a paper titled, “Uganda’s Socio-Economic Transformation for the attainment Middle Income Status” at lecture for students, teaching staff and members of the community at Mulusa Academy, Luwero District on 26th August 2016.
According to NPA, to achieve sustainable Middle Income Status, government will focus on inclusive growth through establishment of various safety nets & increasing household incomes through such interventions as Operation Wealth Creation (OWC), women fund and Youth Fund. Uganda is going to graduate to middle income status country category by 2020 and all stakeholders, including the youth, should work tirelessly to achieve this goal.
